GOLDEN TEMPLE  

 Sri Lakshmi Narayani Golden Temple complex inside the Thirupuram spiritual park is situated at the foot of a small range of green hills at Thirumalaikodi (or simply MalaikodiVellore in Tamil NaduIndia. It is 120 km from Tirupati, 145 km from Chennai, 160 km from Pondicherry and 200 km from Bengaluru. The Maha Kumbhabhishekam or consecration of the temple and its chief deity, Sri Lakshmi Narayani or Maha Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth, power and prosperity, was held on 24 August 2007, and devotees from all religions and backgrounds are welcome to visit.


Sripuram Golden Temple - Timings and Entry Fee 

The General Darshan of the temple takes place from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. The Abhishekam is from 4:00 AM to 8:00 AM and the Aarti Seva is from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The temple remains open throughout the year. If someone wants to avail the Divya Darshan Seva, then they will need to pay INR 100. The Seva happens during Sundays and Saturdays. There is no entry fee levied for entering the temple or the park.


The temple was consecrated in August 2007The Golden Temple is also the most significant shrine in Sikhism, and became a centre of the Singh Sabha Movement between 1883 and 1920s, and the Punjabi Suba movement between 1947 and 1966In the early 1980s, the Gurdwara became a centre of conflict between the Indian government and a movement led by Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale
FEATURES
The salient feature of 'Thirupuram' is the Lakshmi Narayani temple whose Vimanam and Ardha Mandapam is covered with pure gold, housing the deity Sri Lakshmi Narayani (female consort/wife of Vishnu Narayana). The temple is located on 40 hectares (100 acres) of land and has been constructed by the Vellore-based charitable trust, Sri Narayani Peedam, headed by its spiritual leader Sri Sakthi Amma also known as 'Narayani Amma'.
